Bai'at literally means "to promise" and derives from the root word meaning "to sell". Bai'at bedeutet wörtlich "zu versprechen" und leitet sich von der Wurzel Wort mit der Bedeutung "zu verkaufen". In English the term Bai'at is often translated as "Oath of Allegiance" or "Pledge". Im Englischen der Begriff Bai'at wird oft als "Fahneneid" oder "Pledge".

Taking Bai'at is Sunnah as our Holy Prophet (saw) took Bai'at from the Sahaba on many occasions. Angesichts Bai'at Sunna ist wie unser Prophet (SAW) hat Bai'at aus der Sahaba bei vielen Gelegenheiten. In one narration our Holy Prophet (saw) said: In einer Erzählung unsere Prophet (SAW) sagte:

'Will you not make bai’at to the Rasul of Allah?' «Wollt ihr nicht machen bai'at zum Rasul Allah?" We stretched our hands and enquired: On what shall we make Bai’at to you, O Rasul of Allah? Wir gestreckt unsere Hände und fragt: Auf was sollen wir machen Bai'at zu dir, o Rasul Allah? He (saw) said. Er (SAW) sagte. 'That you make the Ibaadat of Allah,- that you associate nothing with Him,- that you perform the five Salaat; that you hear and obey." ', Dass Sie die Ibaadat Allahs, - dass Sie assoziieren nichts mit ihm, -, daß Sie die fünf Salaat; dass Sie hören und gehorchen. "

In the Qur'an, Allah (swt) says about Bai'at: Im Koran, Allah (swt) sagt über Bai'at:

"Verily, those who Swear Allegiance unto thee, O Muhammad (saw), in truth Swear Allegiance to Allah: The Hand of Allah is over their hands: then any one who violates his oath, does so to the harm of his own soul, and any one who fulfils what he has covenanted with Allah,- Allah will soon grant him a great Reward." "Wahrlich, diejenigen, Schimpfworte Allegiance dir, O Muhammad (SAW), in Wahrheit Schimpfworte Allegiance zu Allah: Die Hand Allahs ist über ihren Händen: dann eine, gegen seinen Eid, tut dies zum Schaden seiner eigenen Seele, und jede Person, erfüllt, was er hat covenanted bei Allah, - Allah wird ihm bald einen großen Lohn. "

After the demise of the Holy Prophet (sallalahu alaihi wasallam) this Sunnah was assumed and practised by many elite Sahabah, on the authority of our Holy Prophet (saw). Nach dem Tod des Heiligen Propheten (sallalahu alaihi wasallam) diese Sunna wurde davon ausgegangen, praktiziert und von vielen Elite Sahabah, auf die Autorität unserer Prophet (SAW). These eminent Sahabah included Hadhrat Abu-bakr Siddiq (ra) & Hadhrat Ali (ra) and before they departed they also nominated their successful students to carry on this Sunnah. Diese herausragenden Sahabah enthalten Hadhrat Abu-Bakr Siddiq (ra) & Hadhrat Ali (ra) und bevor sie abflog sie auch nominiert ihre erfolgreiche Studenten zur Ausübung dieser Sunna. Thus this tradition has been passed down from one generation to the next through an authentic chain of Friends of Allah (swt)..This chain is known as a Silsilah and these vary according to the Sufi Order . Damit diese Tradition erfolgreich abgelegt wurde von einer Generation auf die nächste durch eine authentische Kette von Friends of Allah (swt) .. Diese Kette ist bekannt als Silsilah und diese je nach den Sufi-Orden.

To enter a Sufi order one must do Bai'at to a Kamil Sheikh. Um ein Sufi, um ein Bai'at tun müssen, um ein Kamil Sheikh.

There are two types of Bai'ah that one can perform: Es gibt zwei Arten von Bai'ah dass man ausführen kann:

Bai'ah al Barakah: This is where one initiates oneself into a spiritual order merely for the blessings of being part of the spiritual order of which has a direct link with the Holy Prophet (sallalahu alaihi wasallam) without a break in sequence. Bai'ah al Iradah / Bai'ah al Salikeen: This is where one "sells" one's self and surrenders completely to to the Friend of Allah (swt). This Bai'ah leads one to receive both deen and dunya Spiritual Faiz . Dies führt ein Bai'ah zu erhalten beide deen und dunya Spirituelle Faiz. It is this very type of Bai'ah that was undertaken by the Sahaba upon the hands of the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) and is also injuctioned in the Quran as it leads one to Allah (swt): Es ist diese Art von sehr Bai'ah war, dass die von der Sahaba auf den Händen des Propheten (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) und ist auch injuctioned im Koran, wie sie führt ein zu Allah (swt):

"O you who believe, fear Allah and seek a means of approach unto him, and strive in His path so that you may attain success" "O, Sie glauben, fürchtet Allah und sucht ein Mittel der Annäherung zu ihm, und streben in seinen Weg, so dass Sie vielleicht erreichen Erfolg"
