Dreaming of Vessels, Vases, Utensils, Mirror, Scissors Etc.

Vessels symbolise servants and lads while stove, hearths, grates, cauldrons, lamps, table-cloths etc. symbolise grief, sorrow and anxiety which will be felt by the head of the household if the Arabic masculine equivalent is used for any of the above words. But it it is used as a feminine such as qidr, qifah, maa'idah, musarrajah and qas'ah, then they symbolise a person's wife.. As for the word sufrah though feminine, it symbolises the husband all the same.

Whatever is made from copper or lead such as cups, saucers, plates, trays kettles etc. they all symbolise a person's servants and lads.

Mirror : it symbolises a person's wife. If a person sees himself as looking into a mirror, if his wife is expecting, she will give birth to a son who will resemble him. But if she is not nor does he have a son it means he will lose his job and someone else will take his position.

If a pregnant woman sees herself looking into the mirror she will give birth to a girl who will resemble her in every way. But if she is not pregnant it means her husband will marry another woman who will occupy the same house.

If a little boys sees himself looking into a mirror, a brother resembling him will be born. And if a little girl happens to see the same dream her moth will give birth to a girl.

Needle : A needle symbolises an obedient wife.

Threading a Needle : Threading a needle as long as it is not used for sewing also symbolises a dutiful wife.

Threading and Sewing with a Needle : If a man sees himself as threading a needle and sewing the clothes of people it means he will counsel them. Some interpreters say it is a message for him to reform and put right his affairs.

Sewing with a Threaded Needle. : This means that his affairs will be set aright and he will attain respectability amongs the people.

Sewing the Clothes of One's Wife : If a person sees himself as sewing the clothes of his wife using needle and cotton then it is not regarded as a good dream. If the needle happens to break, his affairs will be disrupted and he will become needy and poor.

Comb : It means both happiness and ecstasy.

Combing the Hair and Beard : His grief and anxiety will disappear shortly. Some say it means goodness and happiness through beneficial knowledge. Likewise, people will also derive maximum benefit from his knowledge just as they do from a king, mufti, doctor or khateeb.

Scissors : If seen in the dream it denotes meeting someone.

Scissors Descending from the Sky : It denotes shortness of life for the person.

Clipping Hair or Wool with a Scissor : If a person sees himself cutting or clipping hair or wool using scissors it means he will amass great material wealth.

Glass : Anything made of glass such as a tumbler or bottle symbolises household goods such as jar (for preserves), vessels of fine china, porcelain, chairs etc. it also symbolises male and female servants.

An Incident : A person revealed his dream to Imaam Muhammad bin Sireen (RA) saying that he had seen a glass vessel in his hand. Suddenly it fell from his hand and borke. Or he said that he saw it broken in his hand while holding it. The Imaam asked whether his wife was expecting. When he said she was he said that she will die at the time of delivery and the boy will live. The interpretation materialized exactly as the Imaam had interpreted.
